Friends Offer E.S.L and Citizenship Prep Course English as a second language instruction for adults is provided free-of-charge. Local residents, who serve as tutors, teach foreign born adults on a one-to-one or small group basis, to read and write English. Information can be obtained at the library circ. desk.
We continue to offer a Citizenship Prep course to prepare eligible individuals for the U.S. Citizenship test. This course will prepare you for all parts of the test: speaking, reading, writing and civics–US history and government. Register at the library circ. desk.
Wanted: E.S.L. Tutors
E.S.L. tutors meet with individual students for one hour weekly at your convenience. No experience is needed. Minimal training is provided. If you’d like to volunteer as a tutor, please leave your name and phone number at the circulation desk.
