Friends Offer a Citizenship Prep Course
A course to help prepare individuals eligible for taking the United States Citizenship test will begin at the library in September. The course is free, but there is a nominal book fee. This course will prepare the individual for all parts of the Citizenship test: speaking, reading, writing and civics–US history and government. Individuals should register at the library circulation desk. They will be informed as soon as a time and date are set.

The Library Needs Literacy Volunteers. Do you have an hour a week to spare? The literacy program at the Library needs volunteers to teach ESL to local adult residents who want to improve their English language skills. Prior teaching experience is not necessary. Leave your name at the Circulation Desk, and a member of the Friends of the Library will contact you.
