It’s All in the Details:
Gardening Program

Tuesday • October 2nd • 7:30 pm

Join us for a discussion of garden details and ornamentation, which when correctly used, create drama, texture, and focus in any landscape. Photos from public and private gardens will be used to demonstrate the siting, choice and construction of garden details as water features, fountains, decorative walls and paving choices.

USR Library to Open Earlier

In order to accommodate the many requests for earlier hours the Upper Saddle River Library’s new hours will be Monday–Thursday 9:30 am to 8:30 pm. These hours begin Tuesday, September 4, 2012.

Monday thru Thursday: 9:30am-8:30pm
Friday: 10am-5pm
Saturday: 10am-5pm
Sundays: 1pm-5pm starting Sept. 16

The Children's Museum of Manhattan has been added to this Friends of the Library sponsored program. Other museums in the program are Guggenheim Museum, Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum, Museum of the City of New York, and the South Street Seaport Museum.

The Adult department has eReaders available for lending. Electronic editions of the latest best sellers will be available on these eReaders. Borrow one, just like a hard copy. Please place a reserve with the Reference librarian.

Enjoy New York City’s Wonderful Museums

The Friends of the Library offer USR cardholders free admission to the following museums. Place reservations for museum passes at the circulation desk.

Museum of the City of New York, NY

Guggenheim Museum, NY

Intrepid Air, Sea and Space Museum, NY
The museum offers a variety of guided tours that are offered throughout the week.

Museum passes are made possible by a generous donation from The Friends of the U.S.R. Library.

Reserving a Pass:
Passes can be reserved by emailing ann.witkowski@bccls.org. Please include your name, phone number, email address, library bar code number, museum choice and 3 possible dates. You will be sent an email confirmation. To reserve you must be 18 years and older and have a valid Upper Saddle River library card in an adult name. You may also call the circulation desk to reserve your passes 201-327-2583.

Day of Use: Day of use is the day you plan on visiting the museum. Passes can be picked up beginning at 3:00 p.m. the day prior to the Day of Use and MUST be returned by 11:00 a.m. the day after the Day of Use. The pass envelope may be put in the library bookdrop.

Fees: There is no charge for checking out a museum pass. However there is a $10 fee if passes are returned late.

Where to Pick up Passes: Passes should be picked up at the library circulation desk. YOU WILL NEED YOUR VALID ADULT LIBRARY CARD TO CHECK OUT PASSES.

Canceling Reservation: Reservations can be cancelled two days before the day of use by calling the Upper Saddle River Library @ 201-327-2583 or emailing: ann.witkowski@bccls.org

No Show: A no show is someone who did not pick up their passes or notify the library 2 days prior to the event. Two no shows in a 60 day period will prevent you from using the passes for 60 days.
