Experience the art of Chado, the intricate ceremony of tea preparation and presentation, with Michiko Tomioka. We will learn about the benefits of matcha and mindful eating for longevity and finish by enjoying a moment of peace with some Japanese sweets and a bowl of matcha.
Michiko Tomioka, MBA, RDN, CDN, IFNCP is a registered dietitian nutritionist. Born and raised in Nara, Japan, her approach focuses on a whole plant-based diet and mindfulness through cooking, and Chado, the way of tea which she has been practicing in Kyoto and Manhattan. She has worked in nutritional roles at substance recovery centers, clinical setting, charter schools and WIC. She is a frequent contributor and public speaker including CNBC, NPR, New York Seikatsu, Community City college in NYC, and local libraries.
