Upper Saddle River Library members are able to receive unlimited access to everything The New York Times has to offer via All Access Codes or Passes. All Access provides unlimited access to everything The New York Times has to offer, including:

  • News: Engage with expert reporting, including breaking news, culture coverage and analysis.
  • Games: Unwind with Spelling Bee, Wordle, the Crossword and an archive of over 10,000 past puzzles.
  • Cooking: Enjoy delicious recipes, advice and inspiration daily.
  • Audio: Enjoy full access to podcasts and audio journalism on NYTimes.com, via the Listen tab on the New York Times app, and on Apple Podcasts and Spotify.
  • Wirecutter: Choose products confidently with reviews and real-world testing.
  • The Athletic: Follow in-depth, personalized coverage of your favorite sports.
  • TimesMachine: Explore a browser-based digital replica of all issues of The New York Times from 1851 to 2002. Education users can download up to five PDFs per day, with unlimited browsing.
  • The New York Times Article Archive: Access partial and full-text digital versions of articles from 1851 to today, with redirects to TimesMachine where applicable.
  • Subscriber-Only Newsletters: An exclusive collection of newsletters, available only to subscribers.
  • The Learning Network: Resources for students and faculty to help them learn and teach with The New York Times, accessible via nytimes.com/learning.
  • New York Times inEducation: Curated reading lists against key areas of study, updated weekly, accessible via nytimes.com/edu.
  • Gift Articles: Gift up to 10 News articles or Cooking recipes per month.
  • Saved Articles: Save articles by selecting the Save button in the article tools list under the headline. Saved articles are accessible in each registered user’s Reading List.

Access is available via NYTimes.com and all New York Times apps, available for download for iOS and Android devices.

Note:While using Web-Only access for All Access, select games are not available, including The Mini, Tiles, Letterboxed and the Games archive.

When patrons navigate to NYTimes.com/Games, The Crossword looks as if it is blocked and available only with a subscription. Unfortunately, we can’t change this view, but the daily Crossword IS available. Patrons can go directly to www.nytimes.com/crosswords/game/daily to play. They can also navigate to the hamburger menu in the upper left corner and click on “The Crossword” to receive access.

Access the New York Times digitally, courtesy of the Upper Saddle River  Library. If you are in the library and either connected to our public WiFi (USRL Guest) or using the computers on our network, you have automatic access. If you are not in the library, but you are an Upper Saddle River Library cardholder, you can access the New York Times remotely with a 24 hour access code.
