Museum Passes

Adults, Friends of the Library
Reserve A Museum Pass

Museum passes are made possible by a generous donation from The Friends of the U.S.R. Library.

Museum passes can be reserved online through Museum Key.  Some passes can be printed out at home, and others must be picked up at the library. All passes are free for USR Library cardholders, with the exception of the American Museum of Natural History which is $5 per pass. Feel free to call the library at 201-327-2583 with any questions.

The Museum Pass program provides patrons the opportunity to visit a variety of attractions and enjoy the wonderful arts, culture and education that our area has to offer. This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Upper Saddle River Library.

American Museum of Natural History

PLEASE NOTE: Vouchers cost $5 each, and there is a maximum of 4 vouchers per family. Each voucher grants admission to the museum and to one temporary special exhibit, IMAX film, Space Show, or Seasonal Live Animal Exhibit. Voucher holding patrons will also receive the discounted Member’s rate on additional special exhibition tickets they purchase that day.$50.00
Brooklyn Botanic Garden
990 Washington Ave, Brooklyn, NY
The pass entitles up to 2 adults and accompanying children under age 16 to free general admission to the gardens. 10% discount at the Garden shop and BBG Cafe. The pass does not include special festivals or member’s only events.$62.50
The Guggenheim Museum
1071 5th Ave, New York, NY
This pass provides express entry for up to 4 adults/students and children under age 12. 10% discount at the Museum Store, Café, and restaurant.$250.00
Intrepid Air, Sea and Space Museum
Pier 86, W 46th St & 12th Ave, New York, NY
This pass entitles a library patron (with a valid library card) and up to 3 guests to general admission to the museum. This pass is good ONLY for admission during normal museum hours and does not include entrance to the Space Shuttle Pavilion.$950.00
Museum of Modern ArtThis pass includes free admission for the pass holder and up to four (4) guests at MOMA and MOMA PS1. You may also purchase up to five $5 guest tickets per visit.$750.99
Museum of the Moving Image

Each reservation includes one ticket per visitor, up to a maximum six tickets per household.$25.00
The New York Historical Society

This pass admits 2 adults and 4 children under 18 to the Museum and Library as well as the DiMenna Children’s History Museum, and the Luce Center collection. 10% discount at the Museum Shop and Caffe Storico.$160.00
Storm King Art Center
1 Museum Rd, New Windsor, NY
This pass admits 2 adults and children under 18 living at the same address.$62.50


The Upper Saddle River Library Museum Pass Policy and Lending Guidelines

The Library is pleased to present our Museum Pass Program. Adult (18 years +) Upper Saddle River Public Library cardholders in good standing may borrow museum passes for up to two nights/three days. All pass reservations are processed via our Museum Key. Or patrons can contact the librarian on duty to reserve passes. It is the patron’s responsibility to check individual museums to verify their days/hours of operation.


Reservations

  1. Patrons may reserve passes up to 60 days in advance through the Museum Key or by requesting a reservation from the librarian on duty in person or by phone.
  2. Patron’s failure to pick up a pass at the reserved time will result in a canceled reservation and the pass being given to a patron on the waiting list.
  3. If a patrons reserves a museum pass and does not pick it up, after two such no-shows, the patron will be barred from borrowing any museum passes for a period of six months.
  4. Vouchers for entry to the American Museum of Natural History are limited to two vouchers per household per 12 month period.


Check-out

  1. The patron who has reserved the museum pass must complete a Museum Pass Lending Form before picking up the museum pass from the librarian on duty.
  2. Passes are available for a three-day/two-night loan period and are not renewable.
  3. Only one pass may be checked out at a time per household.
  4. The library reserves the right to limit the number of museum pass checkouts per household per year.

Returns

  1. Passes must be returned during normal business hours of the USR Library to the librarian on duty or the head of circulation. Passes may not be returned to another library nor deposited in the book drop when the library is closed.
  2. Passes must be returned in the same condition that they are received. Fees
  3. Museum passes are subject to library fines are $25 per day. After 7 days, patrons must pay the full replacement cost of the pass.
  4. If a pass is lost or damaged beyond repair, patrons must pay the full replacement cost of the pass.
