The Hudson Valley is rich in heritage and culture but a number of its historically significant sites often go unnoticed. Join us as Anthony Musso reveals some of these properties that are hidden in plain view including Quaker meeting houses that were a critical part of the Underground Railroad, a tavern and lodging facility that became a military prison during the American Revolution, and the rustic cabin that was home to renowned American naturalist and author John Burroughs.
Anthony Musso is a historian and author of eleven books including his three volume Hidden Treasures of the Hudson Valley series which contain 55 sites featured in each volume. The sites are excellent venues for day trips, weekend getaways or a more extended trip into an area that spans from Westchester and Rockland counties north to Columbia and Greene counties in the Hudson Valley.
This Program is in person.
Registration is required. This program is open to all BCCLS cardholders.
