
Children’s Summer Reading Program
June 15th–August 30st
Upper Saddle River children entering pre-K–grade 5 in the fall are invited to join the annual Summer Reading program!
Upper Saddle River children entering pre-K–grade 5 in the fall are invited to earn goodies like prizes every week, a lawn sign, and a chance to win a grand prize—by reading (or being read to) for 2 hours or more per week! All reading counts, so read what you love and reap the rewards!
Enjoy fun family events, get creative with craft kits, go on our brand new Summer Story Walk, search for dinosaurs on weekly scavenger hunts, and much more.
Pre-register starting June 1st. Participate June 15th–August 30th. The program is limited to Upper Saddle River Library cardholders. Please contact erin.douglass@uppersaddleriver.bccls.org with any questions.
Reading Program
Read 2 hours per week to earn prizes!
All reading counts as long as it’s at your level, so read whatever you want! For every week that you read and log 2 hours, you will earn a fun prize.
Log your reading on ReaderZone.
- Sign up on the Reader Zone app or ReaderZone.com.
- Add readers. Click add someone else as a reader to add your child(ren).
- Enter the program code ABD8E when prompted.
- Select Children for the reading group.
- Make reading entries to meet the goal of 2 hours weekly. You can even add past entries.
- You’ll receive an email when prizes are ready for pickup.

Weekly Prize

Log 2 hours per week to earn the weekly prizes!
Lawn Sign

Be one of the first 50 kids to log 2 weeks of reading to get a special lawn sign! Limited to one sign per household.
Grand Prize

Complete all 11 weeks of reading to enter the grand prize gift basket raffle.
